New board chair named at The Property Ombudsman

Claire Bassett has been appointed as the new chair of The Property Ombudsman board, succeeding Baroness Warwick of Undercliffe, whose eight-year term ends on 30 April. Bassett brings extensive leadership experience from roles with organizations such as the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Serious Fraud Office, and the Independent Office for Police Conduct. She expressed excitement about joining during a dynamic time for the organization. Baroness Warwick praised Bassett and expressed confidence in the leadership of interim CEO Andy Clachers and interim Ombudsman Lesley Horton.
